Alix Vadot (Berkeley Law ’21)

Fall 2019 Education Defense & Justice for Youth Clinical Student

Alix was a calm and soothing presence in the office and for her clients. She was eager to learn about our client-centered model and how to uplift the voices of her teenage clients. She was particularly mindful of the trauma that her clients experience and always approached every situation with high emotional intelligence. She easily built rapport with her clients, whether she was communicating with them through text messages or by sharing pizza with them at their dinner table. She successfully advocated for them, including securing a special education assessment for one client and creating a path for a different client to stay in school after he was recommended for expulsion. Her dedication to public interest work was evident and her clients are better off because of her advocacy
