Fall 2019 Immigration Clinical Student
Casey was a consistently positive presence in clinic, bringing energy, curiosity, and commitment to everything she did. She worked with many clients over the course of the semester, contributing research to the asylum case of a client facing persecution in his home country on account of his sexual orientation, working with another client to effectively tell her story in a personal declaration to try to overcome the profoundly unjust ban on individuals seeking to immigrate to the U.S. from Iran, and working to convince U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that they should not refer a young client for deportation on the basis of his juvenile criminal offense. Casey worked hard to build relationships of trust with her clients, and to contribute to a strong, positive group dynamic in her clinic cohort. We wish her the best in all her future endeavors!
