Immigration Clinical Student
Claire joined the Immigration Unit with a passion to advocate for clients and readiness to improve her legal writing and litigation skills. She learned to navigate the real world situations that inevitably occur in case management, and was able to gracefully pivot from one type of case to the next. Claire also learned to work with minors who had suffered significant trauma, and showed empathy and passion in helping clients to understand their cases and obtain sensitive information. Claire jumped into assisting with a legal brief for an Individual Hearing in Immigration Court with tight deadlines. It is evident that Claire is passionate about litigation and advocating for clients, which she showed in working on asylum, special immigrant juvenile, and U visa cases during her semester with EBCLC.
