Spring 2021 Consumer Justice Clinical Student
Daniel arrived to EBCLC with an already existing knowledge of consumer law and government regulation, both of which were extremely helpful in his advocacy for his clients. Daniel represented a client whose bank had unlawfully prevented her from accessing her funds. Because she couldn’t access her money, she was falling behind on rent and tuition payments. Daniel wrote a demand letter, contacted the bank, and negotiated with the bank to get the client’s funds released to her. His creative thinking and ability to do a thorough deep-dive into the relevant research saved the day. Daniel will undoubtedly be able to use these skills going forward in his career as a successful consumer law attorney.
