Fall 2018 Housing Clinical Student

Alexia was a rockstar from the get-go. She was a 1L in the Tenants’ Rights Workshop and showed great rapport with our clients. She also agreed to be a director of the TRW in addition to being a Housing clinic student. Alexia took the lead on a Berkeley Rent Board hearing where we were able to get a tenant declared an original occupant which meant that his apartment would remain under rent control so the landlord could not jack his rent up after his roomate moved out.
