Fall 2019 and Spring 2019 Education, Defense & Justice for Youth: Youth Defender Clinical Student

Anya was a fierce advocate for her clients whose exceptional dedication to EBCLC compelled her to complete an entire year with the Youth Defender Clinic. One of the clients she represented during her time at clinic was a young person struggling with addiction. From their very first meeting, Anya was determined to develop an authentic and trusting relationship both with her client and his family. Anya skillfully and tenaciously represented this client from the very beginning of his case to the very end. The heartfelt tears and hugs they all shared after Anya’s successful argument to get him off of juvenile probation were a tribute both to her personal devotion to her clients, as well as her unrelenting pursuit of justice for them.
