During his time with the Youth Defender Clinic, Bill’s remarkable work ethic and attention to detail enabled him to deftly manage a challenging caseload and effectively juggle multiple responsibilities. At the same time his work set an impressively high bar for his fellow students to strive for, Bill’s unbridled enthusiasm for clinic work was absolutely infectious. Relentlessly positive, Bill was an amazing ally to everyone he worked with in clinic, from other students to clinic staff, not to mention to his own clients — foremost among Bill’s formidable advocacy skills was his ability to leverage the genuine rapport he had with his clients to inform his advocacy on their behalf. Unquestionably, everyone who had the good fortune to work with Bill considers themselves privileged, as clinical students with the rare combination of Bill’s talent, enthusiasm and empathy truly are few and far in between.
