Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 Clean Slate Clinical Student

Genesis represented a client at his BSIS licensing hearing, Against all odds, her hard work and zealous advocacy convinced a judge to award him a probationary license. She then identified that he was eligible to vacate his felony murder conviction, and she prepared the petition that ultimately prevailed. Through her advocacy, the client now has the dignity of no longer being judged for a crime he did not commit. In addition, Genesis spent a semester assisting our crimmigration work to provide post-conviction relief on behalf of immigrants seeking immigration status in the U.S.
