Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 Consumer Justice Clinical Student
Hannah brought strong Spanish-language skills to clinic and we counted on her repeatedly. She dutifully staffed one of the Consumer Justice clinic’s pop-up clinics, exposing her to the wide variety of shady scams and corporate misdoings aimed at immigrant communities. Hannah patiently advocated for clients robbed by storage and transportation companies, saddled by hospital debt they shouldn’t owe, or who were suing gun-brandishing auto dealers. She then took these stories and the wisdom gained and helped us alert the Spanish-language community about scams. Without Hannah’s efforts, we wouldn’t have our world-class Spanish-language anti-scam curriculum, still the cornerstone of our clinic’s anti-scam education for immigrant communities.
