Fall 2019 Community Economic Justice Clinical Student
James was a vocal and fiery advocate who made his presence felt in the Community Economic Justice (CEJ) clinic. He handled complex client matters with grace, including administrative advocacy on behalf of a nonprofit client that creates business opportunities for low-income people of color, as well as a nonprofit client seeking to create the first worker-owned cooperative of its kind to democratize the restaurant industry. James brought his full self and used his experiences working in the restaurant industry to better serve our clients through a community lawyering lens.
