Janine Yim (Berkeley Law ’20/EBCLC)

Spring 2019 Health and Welfare Clinical Student

Janine’s dedicated, organized approach to advocacy made even the most complex cases unfold into victories for her clients. Her care, concern, and attention to detail immediately communicated to clients that she was someone they could trust and someone who would do her best to be of support. EBCLC still receives letters from one of her clients singing her praises and describing their family’s heartfelt appreciation for her work that changed the course of a case in which they had all but lost hope. Because of her, two clients won their cases at ALJ hearing. Janine not only has tremendous skill, she also has tremendous empathy. This combination is all too rare in the legal profession, and her deft touch will be a great gift to all with whom she works with in the future.
