Fall 2018 and Spring 2020 Community Economic Justice Clinical Student
Sara has a heart for serving our clients and has as a number of talents and gifts – from sharp legal analysis to creative graphic design and insightful reflections – that she used in service of our communities during her two semesters with CEJ. She researched a novel area of the law and delivered excellent legal advice to a non-profit client about how to engage in activities to support refugee food entrepreneurs while protecting their tax-exempt status. During an intense time in our affordable housing policy advocacy work, Sara quickly produced key policy research and created a helpful graphic flowchart of our policy for a high-stakes meeting with elected officials. Thanks to Sara’s incredible work ethic and insightful contributions, CEJ drafted a stronger version of the policy and set our nonprofit client on a path towards successfully implementing their new vision.
