Emiliano Aguirre (Berkeley Law ’21)

Fall 2019 and Spring 2021 Community Economic Justice Clinical Student

Emiliano is a humble, grounded advocate and returning CEJ student who came to clinic with a genuine passion for helping communities that have been excluded from economic development. His comprehensive research on fair housing laws will help us integrate a stronger racial justice analysis into our policy advocacy during a pivotal time in our region’s housing crisis and the country’s reckoning with its racial legacy. In addition, Emiliano provided critical legal assistance to two of our nonprofit clients, enabling them to continue their important work of creating economic opportunities for low-income BIPOC entrepreneurs in South Berkeley and Oakland during the pandemic.
