Felix Mendez-Burgos (Berkeley Law ’21)

Fall 2019 Immigration Clinical Student

Felix joined the Immigration team with a drive for immigration advocacy. As a native Spanish speaker, he was an asset in helping male, minor clients feel at ease. He also gained practical skills in navigating legal work with teenage clients, including case management and helping clients understand the reasoning behind their case. Felix learned how to work in the intricate intersection of Probate and Immigration Law, and successfully obtained a positive outcome for his client. Thanks to his advocacy, one of Felix’s clients was granted Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and is currently waiting for the ability to apply for a Green Card.
