Jean Morrow (Berkeley Law ’21)

Fall 2019 Housing Clinical Student

Jean will make a great lawyer, whatever area of law she ends up practicing. She is diligent, positive, professional, and polite. In particular, Jean was adept at expressing patience and empathy when communicating with clients–a majority of whom are clients of color–who come to us at EBCLC during moments of great stress in their lives. Jean took on a beast of a case and handled complex negotiations with opposing counsel. She also researched and drafted a significant brief concerning habitability issues at a client’s property, deftly arguing both that the landlord issued defective notice and that the landlord had acted in bad faith. Her clinic and written work were impressive.
