Spring 2020 and Spring 2021 Consumer Justice Clinical Student
Jessica is a ray of sunshine that brightens the lives of everyone she interacts with. She worked primarily on direct client services during her 2L year, during which she helped clients navigate debt collection lawsuits and student loan issues. Thanks to Jessica’s tireless advocacy, many clients were spared unnecessary debt burdens. Jessica also worked hard to prepare an article about the mechanics of bank levies, which was later published as a CLE (Continuing Legal Education), thereby educating attorneys in the field about a new state law, SB616. Even as she approaches graduation, Jessica continues to give substantially to her clinical experience and clients and is currently tackling the issue of attorney applicants being denied or delayed admission to the bar on the basis of consumer debt.
