Summer 2019 Community Economic Justice Clinical Student
Jonathan was a thoughtful and passionate advocate who wasn’t afraid to take risks and plunge deep into untested legal waters. Jonathan joined the team during the summer of his 1L year and despite having been newly introduced to the complex fields of land-use and transactional law, he produced critical legal memos on zoning overlays for a major development project. Jonathan also conducted research toward EBCLC’s advocacy in support of an important local ordinance. Fueled by his desire to help marginalized communities in Oakland, Jonathan also engages his creative side when advocating for clients and communities–something he has done in the service of residents that sought comprehensive community benefits alongside a major proposed development project.
