Justin joined clinic with a wealth of knowledge and took our work to the next level. Because of his prior experiences, he was able to project manage a know your rights presentation with his peers. He even designed an EBCLC power point template, which raised the professional look of the presentation. The presentation was so impressive that our clinical students were asked to deliver it to a larger audience of community members. Justin’s attention to detail also enabled him to produce high-quality analyses of federal and state guidance related to “distance learning.” Most importantly, I witnessed how Justin challenged himself to develop his direct services skills. By the end of the semester, he was able to lead a special education meeting entirely by himself and obtained the services his client requested.
