Kate Mather (Berkeley Law ’21)

Spring 2020 Clean Slate Clinical Student

Kate excelled in and was all over the homeless practice. Whatever wacky stuff we got into, she plunged right in. She took on the most onerous tasks, like trying to help an extremely mentally ill, self sabotaging client who was being taken advantage of by multiple agencies. Kate remained steadfast in her advocacy — she hung in there — working hard to spin gold out of a pile of thistles. At the same time, Kate was in the streets with us, down at encampments, staying later the office to help figure out media strategy. Kate was great, I have no doubt about it.
