The East Bay Community Law Center is thrilled to announce two new additions to its leadership team. On June 1st, the organization welcomes Jay Kim and Rosa Bay as its new co-deputy directors.

Rosa Bay joined EBCLC as a staff attorney in 2010 and has since served as the founding director of the organization’s Education Advocacy Clinic, the co-founding director of the Education Defense and Justice for Youth Program, and most recently, the Interim Clinical Director. She shares these thoughts on stepping up to lead the organization as Co-Deputy Director:

Jay Kim joins EBCLC with over twelve years of community lawyering and nonprofit management experience, including co-founding and directing Common Law, a non-profit organization in New York City that supported community organizing efforts through legal education and legal assistance. She was most recently the executive director of the Bay Area chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, the largest NLG chapter in the country. On joining EBCLC’s leadership team, Jay states:

EBCLC’s staff, students, and board of directors are excited to welcome this new chapter of leadership to meet the moment.
