Anavictoria Avila

Anavictoria joined EBCLC in 2019 to continue her life passion: youth advocacy and public interest law. Prior to joining EBCLC, she was the Outreach Coordinator for the Illinois Coalition for the Fair Sentencing of Children at the Children & Family Justice Center (CFJC), Northwestern Law. During law school, Anavictoria did five semesters of clinic practice with CFJC, where she gained extensive experience in juvenile justice matters. Her training includes juvenile criminal defense, education advocacy, post-conviction litigation, trial advocacy, juvenile life without parole, expungement, clemency, and immigration crossover issues. Anavictoria is a creative at heart; in her free time she is an artist and loves to salsa dance.
