Andrea M. Henson
Andrea M. Henson is a recognized advocate and attorney for the homeless and other vulnerable populations in the Bay Area. Prior to serving as a Staff Attorney in the Homeless Practice at EBCLC, Andrea had her own law offices where she practiced criminal misdemeanor defense in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties and federal civil rights litigation involving individuals living in homeless encampments. She also served as a litigation attorney at the Eviction Defense Center in Oakland, CA. Andrea currently serves on the Board of Directors at Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco, CA and Consider the Homeless in Berkeley, CA. She is the co-founder of the Where do we go? Berkeley movement and Chairperson for Where do we go? Berkeley, a 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to providing advocacy and material support to homeless individuals living in homeless encampments and on the streets. Andrea Henson also served as an professorial lecturer in the Information Systems Technology Department at George Washington University and as an instructor in the Judicial Administration program for Michigan State University online program.
