A former Supreme Court and court of appeals clerk, Easha Anand currently serves as Supreme Court & Appellate Counsel at the MacArthur Justice Center, where she litigates prison conditions, police excessive force, and criminal defense cases around the country.

Prior to her work at the MacArthur Justice Center, Easha was an associate in the Supreme Court & Appellate practice at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. She ran the Democrats’ voter protection operation in Arizona during the 2018 election cycle and worked as a capital defense investigator and journalist before law school. Easha graduated from Berkeley Law in 2014 and clerked for Judge Paul J. Watford on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Justice Sonia Sotomayor at the United States Supreme Court. She is a proud EBCLC alum and uses the skills that she learned in the Youth Defender Clinic (now the Education Defense & Youth Justice Project) daily in her practice.
