Fernando is a graduate of UC Riverside where he earned a triple major in theatre, political science, and ethnic studies. Fernando possesses over 5 years of experience in administration, grassroots organizing, strategic development, events, and campaigns. In his undergrad, Fernando managed his own team of 30 staff members to tackle issues in higher education both locally and state-wide. Fernando created the first ever transfer leadership pipeline and transfer pathways for the UC with the help of other administrators from the University Of California Office of the President. In his own university, Fernando was instrumental in the installation of a Food Pantry for students who were suffering from hunger/homelessness.
Presently, Fernando is a community organizer in the East Bay focusing on third world liberation struggles, housing insecurity, ending the school-to-prison pipeline, and much more. In his free time, Fernando enjoys playing basketball and teaching theatre to youth in the local community.
