They are proud to be part of an organization that takes a holistic approach to addressing the needs of system-impacted Bay Area community members through direct legal services and policy advocacy.

Prior to joining EBCLC, Julia worked for nearly fifteen years as a union organizer and representative. After completing a second Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Julia moved into a leadership role at The Gathering Place (TGP) in Denver, a nonprofit providing shelter, resources, and supportive services to unhoused and unstably-housed women, transgender, and nonbinary individuals. At TGP, they led the organization’s finance, human resources, and operations functions for many years, and then served as President & CEO for the organization. Julia grew up in San Diego, and is very happy to be back in California after many years living and working in other states around the country.
