Monique E. Liburd currently holds the position of Senior Trademark Counsel at Google LLC in San Francisco, CA. Ms. Liburd focuses her practice on international intellectual property issues involving all aspects of the protection, acquisition, and enforcement of trademark rights, as well as intermediary liability issues relating to trademarks and general advocacy and education.

Prior to joining Google LLC, Ms. Liburd served as Trademark Counsel at Chevron Corporation in San Ramon, CA; as an Associate in the Washington, DC office of Morgan, Lewis, & Bockius LLP; and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Curtis V. Goméz of the United States District Court of the Virgin Islands.

Ms. Liburd is active in the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Charles Houston Bar Association (CHBA), and Black Women Lawyers of Northern California (BWLNC). She currently serves on the Board of the East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC) and The Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO).

Ms. Liburd is originally from the U.S. Virgin Islands and is a graduate of California State University, Northridge and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
