Will worked in just about every practice area of Clean Slate. His diligent work on behalf of immigrant clients resulted in vacaturs that allowed them to stay in the US with their families. Will also represented a client previously convicted of murder, and stood with him as the judge vacated that conviction based on change in the felony murder rule. And he volunteered to fill in at our DECOP clinic on a moment’s notice when they were unexpectedly short staffed. Will attended our meetings with the Justice Reinvestment Coalition, and was essential to getting our Court Watch program up and running. Will helped to build a robust Court Watch program that still exists today to gather systemic data and to show support in individual cases.
