By advocating to increase public benefits, ensure adequate health coverage, access HIV services, and relieve consumer debt, our Health and Economic Security Program tackles the social determinants of health that have historically created barriers for our clients to thrive. The team assists clients with issues related to county, state, and federal benefits and helps clients navigate various types of debt, including student, medical, and back rent debt. The Name and Gender Change Workshop is also housed within the Health and Economic Security Program.
