Community Economic Justice Services
Advancing people-oriented economic development.
The Community Economic Justice Program (CEJ) provides legal advice to entrepreneurs and small businesses. CEJ also supports organizers in building community resources such as land trusts, cooperatives, and community benefits agreements. CEJ advances racial and economic justice by partnering with community groups and coalitions, utilizing community-centered models and policies to develop long-term solutions to poverty. Our local and state-level policy changes are crafted to address the urgent challenges faced by our client base, particularly those disproportionately impacted by the affordable housing crisis and gentrification in the East Bay.
