Hanna joined EBCLC in 2024 as a Staff Attorney/Clinical Supervisor in the Immigration Unit. Prior to joining EBCLC, Hanna worked at Catholic Charities of the East Bay, primarily representing unaccompanied minors and youth in the foster care system in their immigration matters.

Hanna grew up in Eritrea and Ethiopia. Her personal journey as an immigrant in the United States has profoundly shaped her passion for immigrant rights. Having navigated the complexities of the immigration system firsthand, she is driven by a deep commitment to advocating for those who seek support and to helping them forge a path forward for themselves. She is also continually inspired by the people she represents—their resilience in the face of adversity and their hopefulness despite the trauma they have suffered.

Hanna loves learning new languages and speaks Tigrigna, Amharic, French, Spanish and basic Italian.
