Who We Are
Kelsie Hoppes
Institutional Giving Manager
Education
Kelsie joined EBCLC as the Institutional Giving Manager in July 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in fundraising for human rights and social justice programs. She has held development roles at non-profits such as the Fund for Global Human Rights, the American India Foundation, and the National Women’s Law Center. Passionate about resourcing grassroots interventions to social justice issues, Kelsie is excited to work at EBCLC due to its intersectional, community-centered approach to racial and gender justice.
Kelsie earned her Master’s degree in Women and Gender Studies from San Francisco State University. Her Master’s thesis made a feminist argument for funders to provide unrestricted support to community-based organizations led by and serving marginalized populations in order to advance reproductive justice’s goals. Kelsie also holds a joint Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies from Middlebury College, where she helped lead activism against the local crisis pregnancy center’s anti-abortion initiatives that disseminated false medical information to vulnerable pregnant people in the rural community. Kelsie has studied public health and women’s rights issues in Thailand, Laos, Kenya, and South Africa.
