Who We Are
Lina Lopez
Program Coordinator, Health and Economic Security
Education
As Program Coordinator, Lina supports the Health and Economic Security Program with administrative functions, such as processing mail, communicating with partner organizations, and coordinating community clinics. Lina also assists with client intake and screening, provides case assistance and support to staff attorneys, helps train law student interns, and supports with the hiring and supervision of undergraduate volunteers.
Lina began working with EBCLC in 2024 with the Admin team. Later that year, she joined the Consumer Justice team as their Program Coordinator. In 2025, Lina began supporting the Health & Welfare team as their Program Coordinator as well, and in February 2026, the two teams merged to form the Health & Economic Security Program.
Before joining EBCLC, Lina was an undergrad student at UC Berkeley. Lina always knew she wanted to pursue public interest and community work in her career. As a child, Lina experienced many of the hardships the EBCLC clients experience daily, including immigration, financial, and housing insecurity. At UC Berkeley, Lina prioritized studies in human rights and legal studies to gain new insights into the unjust systems of oppression and learn how to navigate these systems. She is thankful to have found a space at EBCLC to give back to the community that supported and uplifted her as an advocate with learned and lived experience.
Lina’s goal as an advocate is to ensure her clients have access to the information, resources, and support they need to feel heard, valued, and empowered. She strives to help clients pursue their goals, navigate complex systems of oppression, and build the confidence and knowledge to advocate for themselves and their communities.
