The Consumer Justice program advocates for personal financial independence, stability, and empowerment. We provide free legal advice and assistance on:   

  • Personal debt management (e.g. credit card debt) 
  • Personal debt lawsuits 
  • Student loans 
  • Credit reporting errors 
  • Identity theft 

Please note that our program is not able to provide help with the following issues: 

  • Tax issues 
  • Business debt 
  • Government debt 
  • Administrative debt 
  • Utilities 
  • Medical debt 
  • Child support 
  • Employment issues 
  • Foreclosure 
  • Mortgage issues 
  • Probate/Trust 
  • Insurance issues 
  • Police misconduct 
  • Discrimination 
  • Individuals versus individual matters 
  • Bringing non-impact litigation affirmative cases 

How to Access Our Services 

The Consumer Justice Clinic is closing our clinics until Spring, exact date TBD. At this time, we are prioritizing completion of our existing litigation cases, ongoing impact litigation in federal court, and state policy work.
