Financial Hardship? The court does not reduce fines/fees in Marin. Payment plans (must complete 12 months, minimum $50/month) and $35 administrative fee which is incorporated into the total. Can complete community service with a $50 community service fee. If the person qualifies, the community service fee will be deducted from the bail amount.
Driver’s License Hold/Suspension for Failure to Appear? Fine must be paid in full. If FTA, then the case goes into collections unless there is good cause for failure to appear (hospitalized, active military duty, incarcerated). To assert any of these reasons for missing court, you must fill out the form and attach proof in person in Room C-10. Fine reduction/CS/payment are options available on the form. (You can also email traffic@marincourt.org to obtain copy of the form.)
