Financial Hardship? No formal ability-to-pay process but there is a payment plan option, community service option, and the judge is willing to convert traffic fines to jail time. When fines do not get paid on time, cases go to collections agency (Shasta Court handles all collections). If there is an FTA, must post the funds in full to get court date. Exceptions will be made for people who are overseas in the military, incarcerated, medically incapacitated. Letter must be written to the judge.
Driver’s License Hold/Suspension for Failure to Appear? Fine must be paid in full.
