Jocelyn Gomez is a first-generation, Latinx law student from the Eastern Coachella Valley, California. Prior to attending law school, Jocelyn received both a B.A. degree in Political Science and M.Ed. from UCLA, and worked as a high school English teacher in South Central Los Angeles.
Currently, she is a 3L at Berkeley Law, where she has dedicated the majority of her time to learning how to successfully advocate for low-income, immigrant communities like the one she grew up in. Jocelyn first got involved with EBCLC as a law student intern with the organization’s Health and Welfare clinic during her 2L year. She is excited to join EBCLC’s board as a student board member to help support EBCLC’s mission.
