Karla is an immigration attorney dedicated to representing and supporting unaccompanied minors. She primarily works with children in removal proceedings, many of whom are seeking asylum and special immigrant juvenile status. She is also a Clinical Supervisor for the Immigrant Juvenile Defenders Clinic.

Karla Cruz joined EBCLC Immigration Practice in 2021. During law school, she interned with EBCLC’s Immigration Program. Prior to EBCLC, she was a staff attorney at La Raza Centro Legal where she provided direct legal services to Spanish-speaking immigrants.

Karla has a longstanding commitment to advocating for immigrants in the Bay Area. This dedication to fighting for immigrant justice stems from her being a daughter of immigrants.
